“Master,” he said, “You have entrusted me with five talents. See, I have gained five more.” His master replied. “Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful in a few things; I will put you in charge of many things; enter into the joy of your master.” (Matthew 25:14-30)

Five Talents has provided funding, consulting, or training in the some of the poorest countries in the world since operations fully began in September 1999. We have financed thousands of $50 to $300 loans to poor entrepreneurs in 12 countries, including Bolivia, the Dominican Republic, Honduras, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Nigeria, Peru, the Philippines, Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda.

In 2007, we invested in more than 17,000 poor entrepreneurs and their families, a majority of them women. Each loan finances a business that in turn employs at least five other people! Our consulting and training services have impacted hundreds more in Burundi, Cameroon, Ghana, Honduras, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Rwanda and Tanzania.

Since 2005, we have trained 2,050 poor entrepreneurs through Business As Mission trips and another 272 in Christian Economic Development Institutes (CEDIs).
